My artist quote today.

"He unfolds, as a painter," said Cezanne, "that which has not yet been said; he translates it into absolute terms of painting--something other than reality."

I'm still trying to achieve my painting reality.

A teacher quote:
"In reality a piece of art is not a depiction of something else, it stands alone as a new creation. What is it? It is what it is, a painting judged without the need for comparison."

I love this "It is what it is" The beauty of a painting, sculpture, a song or even a dance, all of art really, is that… It is what it is.

Some of my studio, small but cozy.

Mornings on the Cape and its many Lights

Morning Sunrises.

I shot a sunrise every morning for a year.

Cape Cod has beautiful color skies.

My latest painting

It's been busy this month I have been doing lots of TV shoots and trying to get in my painting.

Here's my latest still on the easel; I'm putting the final touchs on the painting.

Woodneck Beach

Barnstable

Backroads around BoothBay Harbor.

Summer on Cape Cod is making it hard to plein air paint.

So it was off to Maine.
